Calm down, calm down! by Zombiesmile Calm down, calm down! by Zombiesmile
I got a question on Tumblr by rainingxinxmyxsoul: "you said Kyle was born and raised in Scotland and then moved to England when he was 14.. does he still have a scottish accent?", so I decided to draw a little comic about it. it wasn't supposed to be in colour and all that, but I got a bit carried away... |D;

It may a bit...obscure for non UK people, sorry!
Kyle is saying: ‘Shut up or I’ll punch you in the teeth’ in Scottish.
Scott’s ‘Ey ey, calm down calm down!’ is a reference to The Scousers ( [link] ). :>
(And a tenner is ten pounds.)

Kyle still speaks Scottish (Glaswegian) when he’s around his dad, or at family gatherings when he’s speaking to Scottish family members. When he speaks normally, he has a hint of an accent, but most people don’t even notice. (his mum’s English, so he was always able to speak however he preferred)
As you can see, Scott and Kyle like poking fun at each other for being Scottish/Scouse. :B

Just for fun~ hope you like.

he's mostly an irritable drunk, tends to pick fights he can't win and embarasses himself. XD;;

Ah, people have told me when I speak to strangers from my town, I don't speak with an accent. However with my friends and family, I have a Scottish accent. So this makes sense.

haha, I have an accent when I speak to my dad too. (rhineland dialect) and also with my mum (Shizuoka/Tokyo dialect mix) XD
I guess the closer we are to family, the easier it is to fall into that somehow. it's more comfortable and familiar.

I guess. I mean I've noticed with my English grandmother and grandfather, I try to improve my speech, talk clearly and try not to use Scottish slang. Especially with my greataunts, or else they'll try to correct me. 'You may come from Scotland, but you aren't in Scotland now dear. Do try to speak normal' Irritates my father, as he is Scottish. But ah well. Always amusing to annoy them by talking to my father in front of them, and make absolutely no sense :P
