The one you chose to colour is like every dragon logo ever, in fact it looks quite a lot like one someone I know has. I quite like the one with the dragon looking out over the edge of the circle though, that would have been a bit more unique.
This was a logo commission specifically for me and I chose the design. I found the dragon looking out of the circle to be a bit too aggressive for a crafts shop. Don't want to frighten my customers off, you know. And the tail of the dragon that I chose forms an 'S' - which is the first letter of my given name.
I thought the dragon looking out of the logo looked kind cute, personally, but fair enough. It's just worth noting that the dragon curled around like this is quite a common pose for dragons and snakes in circular logos.
I noticed the S-shaped tail but from experience I'd say many people probably won't -- I tried out a logo for cards and watermarks once with a dragon as the "S", but everyone read it as "anger", thinking the dragon was just a logo.
I like it when people show the researches then the drafts. X) It shows how much work and effort you put into a drawing. Plus, this is a lovely piece ! Looks quite simple at first sight then you notice the shading, the gold effect, little coins and gems... A really nice little thing. =3
